Dr Shane Power is a Consultant Anaesthetist based in Perth, working across St John of God Midland Public and Private Hospitals and the Fiona Stanley Fremantle Hospitals Group. He completed his anaesthesia training in Ireland before undertaking a regional anaesthesia fellowship at Fiona Stanley Hospital. He holds fellowships with both the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) and the College of Anaesthesiologists of Ireland (FCAI).

Dr Power’s clinical practice spans regional, general, and obstetric anaesthesia, with a strong emphasis on patient safety, perioperative care, and quality improvement. He serves as the lead anaesthetist for obstetric services at St John of God Midland Public Hospital, alongside a broader role delivering anaesthesia across a wide range of surgical specialties.

He is actively involved in teaching and mentoring junior doctors and contributes to clinical governance and multi-site quality improvement initiatives aimed at improving safety and perioperative outcomes.
